fingers crossed! I really want to see Marigold as a female. Most of those crosses I see turn out to be males...I would love to see what the cross looks as a female. Still learning genetics, so I am not exactly sure why the lacing is silver, not gold.

Silver is a sex-linked dominant gene. However, due to autosomal red and mahogany, a chicken that is genetically silver (or a gold/silver split rooster) can have more gold/red color than silver.

I think you'll have to wait longer to sex Marigold. Right now it is unclear. It looks like a SLW/EE cross to me.

Neither. Incomplete/partial lacing. That means it’s almost lacing but doesn’t have all the needed genes, and also has a few other non-lacing genes.
