Hello there! I stopped by the swap today as a total newbie. The kids and I loved it! Do sellers often have ready to lay chickens available? We have 4 NH reds that we bought in late July and would like to add different birds but the same age...today seemed like lots of chicks available.

Thanks for posting here, it's how I found out about it!!

we brought laying hens but they were sold before we got there, we have 2 red stars and a barred rock left, might be taking them to merrimack next weekend.
there were a lot of laying hens in milford at the last swap. you have to understand that it was the first time there, it should get better as people find out about it.

Good to know, thanks! I'll be sure to get to the next one early

Hey guys!!

Missing Chichester today worked out for me.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!

My manager called me earlier. I have orientation Wednesday.

I get to teach kids, and their parents about farm animals and pets!!!
And the hours etc are just what I need!!! So I still get to do the Chicken Stocks on weekends!!!!! with no worries about work hours!

I am SO HAPPY

Congratz on the new job Rhett&SarahsMom!

So I went to the swap telling myself I'd come home with just the one rooster... and I end up coming home with a TURKEY! How does that work? I swear the chicken swaps are hypnotic some how. You go and all the sudden something comes over you and you end up going home with stuff you didn't even realize you wanted.

DH didn't kill me for bringing home the turkey, although he wasn't so thrilled. DH if you are reading this, Thank you for not killing me, and remember, it's all Gypsy's fault!

TURKEYS??? There was turkeys there?

And I missed it.....I was unable to make it today. I hate having to be responsible...............

Frie Dove picked up a stunning young Roayl palm , he is absolutely the nicest Royal I have seen lately up for grabs.

There were some very nice chickens today.

Those Silkie roosters were nice birds I am still kicking myself for not grabbing the Mottled one.
