Chick doesnt like being held

Some of my chicks didn't like to be held as much as the other ones. To make them more friendly I gave them mealworms. You could try that.

Yeah, completely normal. What breed is the chick? One of my leghorns used to be extremely skittish until she got eggbound and I had to soak her, etc. Since then she lets me hand feed her and isn't all skittish like before. Maybe it will work for you? Try to interact with the chick more. Hand feed them too, hopefully that works.

Hmm, people here gave you a great response. Some chicks just don't like being held, as long as the chick doesn't run away from you're good.

The chick may see you as a predator, since humans have two eyes in front.

Try to not make eye contact and hold out your hand with some food. (Do that often.) The chick will gradually get used to you and you may (not saying you will) be able to hold her.

However, not all chickens like being held though, so.. But, that may help..
