chick gender guesses?

Feather sexing can only be done once the feather completes drying - day 2. If they are older than that, the feathers will have already grown too much. I think practically any breed can be guessed this way. I know of only one hatchery that uses this method. One woman told me hold to do it, but I forgot, and so each time I hatch chivks, I check their wings and make a guess.

She is actually a mille fleur d uccle or booted bantam. Im not entirely sure what the difference is.
I agree on the partridge cochin though.

Actually, she is not a Mille Fleur d'uccle, since her color pattern doesn't match that of Mille Fleur. She is some sort of D'uccle/D'uccle mix, though. Booted Bantams and D'Uccles look exactly the same except the D'uccle has muffs and a beard, while the Booted Bantam is clean-faced.

And yes, the other one is a Partridge Cochin.

Thanks y'all ! She came from someone who ordered several bantams from hatchery ! She looks like she is trying get funny puffy feathers around her face , and has always been much tinier than the other !

I read somewhere that they get the white flecks as they molt, I hadnt paid attention that her black was streaks rather than tips lol. I will try to see what color she is... has to be something right? Came form a hatchery?

Edit: I am at a loss, she has the color of a quail D'Anver, but she looks like a D'Uccle.

She has just started getting the white spots over last few weeks ...more seem appear every week just very slowly ...the roo that looked like her "match " had the white much sooner & more noticeable . Lol I'm totally wondering what she is now lol. I just kno she is cute & very smart !! Will have take more pics last ones are probably 3 weeks old
