chick hatched she is a day old but still cant walk

so i went in to lock down with seven eggs and they all hatched there is one that is a day old and cant walk when she trys to walk her legs go on the sides of her instead of under her i took her out of the incubator a couple hours ago and i was tryin to show her to some one and i dropped her it was not a hard fall in the temp brooder i have i have a towel and then a heating pad and then another towel i dropped her just about one and a half feet and it was not a hard fall at all is it my fault when she trys to walk her legs spread apart what can i do to help her

from what it sounds like I think its straddle leg here is a great link for treating and preventing.

Thanks I will read that sorry I forgot to say that she is breathing heavy has well I don’t know if this has anything to do with the leg

I agree, it sound s like straddle leg an for can be fixed! Many chicks of mine had the same problem. With much patience and love I now have healthy egg laying girls that I love to pieces!!
