Chick hatched with fluid filled cyst on back??? Added Pics Graphic!

It almost looks like a yolk sack that is in the wrong place.

I would wait a few days and see if it absorbs itself, if not I would drain it will a small sryinge.

I have had a few hatch with that. The fluid went down on its own. I noticed that it is only in the light colored chicks, and when they take a long time to hatch. Like a blister or something. Yours has it a little bigger than mine did, but the next day mine were fine!

For now it will stay in it's little bowl so no one steps on it. It did not take long to hatch, less than 24 hrs from pip to zip and maybe an hour from zip to hatch. It does seem to have a little trouble getting that leg underneath it, but may just be because it only hatched about 4 hrs ago or it the "cyst" may make it off balance.

I can't see the photos but this sounds exactly like what I am going through. Whatever happened to this little guy?
