So I have 3 chicks, 1 week old (I think), and the temp is around 90. They seem happy, are walking around, sleeping (but don't seem to be too huddled, or too pressed to the edges) but they are making a lot of peeping noises. I read somewhere that they let you know they are too cold/hot with peeps - is that what is happening? Or is it normal for them to be pretty noisy during the day?

sorry if this is a silly question.

Do they have enough water? If they do , is it too hot? Another thing may be that they don't have enough space to cool off at.

You will know the difference. They peep just cause they do...The PEEP PEEP PEEP when not happy..and then they sorta peepypurr when they are settling down for the evening, have a full belly and are ready for a nice nap lol.
