Chick screaming when pooping

I'm not sure if it's the same issue/cause, but I had a chick that had this issue because they were actually eating small pieces of pine shavings after they had scratched their food from their feed bowl. It resolved itself once they had been moved off of pine shavings - I didn't figure out the issue until afterward and felt awful 'cause I could never really tell what was wrong other than it would make painful peeping sounds every so often? and it was them trying to poop out pine shavings.
Ohh i see, same thing but i feel like the shavings are too big for them to eat so that would be unusual but could happen.
If the chick does not want to eat the chunks of oil on its own, then melt the oil and mix it into the wet feed. Wet feed, plenty of water to drink, and eating coconut oil will make the poop softer and easier to pass.
The chick has no interest in the food now, really focusing on pooping almost all the time, doing the squat. I feel so bad as the chick is constantly falling over from squatting. I am dripping water on the chick’s beak to get it to drink more though.

its really hard prying open a tiny chicks mouth but i gave about a beak full. is that enough or will i need to give more? I have let the chick sleep alone for a bit and she is enjoying some quiet sleeping time since she is getting pushed around by the others. I will be putting a friend back in.
I've done it, yes it's hard.

Just like someone else mentioned, you can mix into the chicks wet food to get the chick to eat the coconut oil.

Tap the feed with your finger to get it back to focus on the feed?

I feel like my shavings are too big for the chick to eat but who knows. I don’t think she has eaten any but ill monitor, im suspicious this was because she was a bit late to start drinking

She is now still screaming when pooping but pushing out loose stool, would this be a good or bad thing?

Her back end is probably sore. Do you have Cortisone 10, with aloe, to reduce any swelling of the vent?

I have some aloe i could give its vent. Im not sure if shes still constipated, but is not pooping much but if she does its watery, not sure if its good or not.

Yes i got some coconut oil on the food but the chick wont eat wet mash but i did make the food into really fine powder. She is now eating more after i separated her from the other chick not sure why. The chick is drinking and eating more when alone and is not chirping for the others.

It usually takes a few tries to get them to eat the mash. My little trick is to put some directly into the beak, so it gets a good taste. Or I put some on my figure, & offer it to the eating buddy. Once eating buddy starts pecking it off my finger, the chick in need usually follows along.

Watery poop is definitely better then the hard crusty stools.

now the stool is soft but looks undigested would giving probiotics help? i think the chick is no longer constipated but maybe its just straining from the mildly prolapsed vent? it is a bit protuding but nothing too crazy. the stool do still stick to the vent but i just need to wipe it off. i keep cleaning the chick and it seems the chick will head to me when it needs help with the pain or loose stool. hoping it will get better tomorrow.

Probiotics will help with digestive health.

The mild prolapse is most likely due to all the staining the chick was doing while trying to poop.

Get some anti inflammatory cream, or some aloe to reduce the swelling to allow the prolapse to go back inside? Cortisone 10, with aloe is what I recommend.
