One of our twenty-five day old chicks, Buffy, has an odd lump on the side of her neck. It seems to be fluid-filled. I just noticed it today. She is acting completely normal, (including making her displeasure known to the Earth when I pick her up,) and is not in immediate danger.
One our last batch of chickens one of them, Fennel, had a lump exactly the same, in the same spot as Buffy The Chicken. I don't know how it affected her long-term, as she did not live a full life.
I would be happy to answer any questions. Just wondering what it is and what I can do to help.
Pictures are below. Ignore the black stuff, she was likely bombed walking under the roost.

Sorry for the horrible image quality.
Thanks in advance.

That may be the crop which is located in the upper right chest, and is where the food and water do after eating, before moving on toward the gizzard. In young chicks it may seem to be more on the side of the neck. If she sleeps at night, feel of it first thing at daylight to see if it has emptied.

That's probably it, as some of the others have it too. Thanks for the feedback.
