this is my second hatch, things went overall quite well, my chicks are now 2 days old and I’m concerned about the vent on one, I thought it was just pasty butt yesterday, however on cleaning it again today I noticed I can’t find the actual vent? today I also noticed it’s a little lethargic. The other one out of 31 chicks with pasty butt didn’t have any today and everyone else is happy and healthy. Will be uploading a video shortly.

As you can see there’s a little red dot where the vent should be and it seems to be straining.

Is there anything I can do for this or should I cull the chick?

I can't think of anything you could do for a deformity like that other than try to make it comfortable. If it has had pasty butt I would imagine it's still going to the bathroom though.
Are you offering them any vitamins? Maybe some Nutridrench would give it a little boost?

So you have some type of circular opening in the first picture. What is over to the right of that tiny circular opening? If you fluff things up in that greyer, more linear area, is there an opening?
