I honestly don’t think it’s brain matter. It wouldn’t be able to function due to the fact the brain would be damaged. I agree, it would become picked on from its flock mates, it would have to kept separate until it heals or it gets medical attention.

No, no pus, not really bleeding either. I dabbed some neosporin on it and it bled a little but nothing severe. I don’t know if it could’ve got its head dried out and stuck to the egg and it peeled off when it came out? Sorry if that’s graphic sounding

It’s not in the brooder with the rest of the chicks, it’s in the incubator with high humidity. I can nurse it and see if it helps. I feel like it wants to live or it would’ve died by now...

It might be flesh that is peeled back and flopped over... but I don’t know if I want to explore in case it’s not...

I'm sorry but the best thing to do would be to help it out of it's misery now. That is just my opinion. I don't see this poor thing staying alive long.
