It’s still alive and has been out of the shell for 12 hours... have put neosporin on it and it’s in the incubator with high humidity. It definitely has energy and is trying to move. I’m sending hopefully a better picture. Maybe it’s not it’s brain? I feel like it would’ve been dead by now if it was...

I’m afraid to take it to the vet because it’s so little I’m afraid it’ll die from being cold. Even if it could grow skin over its head there’s some chance it could survive right? Am I being cruel by not euthanizing?

I think if it's got energy then leave it it's not suffering in my opinion until they seem in bad pain so why not give it a try

Looks like the brain is exposed. The kindest thing that you can do for this chick is to euthanize it in a humane fashion.

Maybe your worries about the chicks bone not being there maybe someone could help you create a helmet like device

My biggest concern with that would be the risk of bacteria entering directly into the brain.
