My OEG Bantam chick is about four weeks old. I noticed today that she has been sleeping more, and closes her eyes a lot. Her eyes look swollen and a bit watery. But there is no mucous or drainage from the nose or eyes, and she is breathing normally to. When she is awake still acting somewhat normal, she is eating, drinking, and prunes herself. It just looks like her eyes may be irritated. I have given her a few drops of nutri-drench, I have also read that vetericyn pink eye spray helps with eye irritations so I may get some of that. Does anyone know what this is, and what else should I do to treat her?

here are a few pictures of her.

Any photos of her poop?
Where is she being housed - inside brooder, outside coop, etc.?
Is she a lone chick?

She may have gotten a little dust in the eye, you can flush it with saline. If she develops bubbles or pus/discharge in the eyes, then use something like Vetericyn eye gel or Terramycin eye ointment.

Her poop looks normal, she is in the brooder with 7 other chicks. She is acting pretty normal today, but her eyes still look a little swollen. I will keep giving her nutri-drench. I don't want to isolate her from the others because I don't want her to get depressed or stressed.
