Chicken articular Gout ( genetic ) swelling feet and legs

Has anyone gone thew this ? I bought 8 chicken .. 4 RIR and 4 RIW .. the RIR 3/4 have GOUT I had to put a hen down 2 months ago and now I have 2 more .. my Rooster and another hen I will have to put down this wkn .. their feet are so swollen it’s unbelievable and Gout was confirmed by vet ... I am so scared my last RIR hen gets it .. only way she won’t is if she wasn’t from same parents ...that have it ... I guess I would ll have to wait ... anything to help swelling go down ? To release pressure ?

Sorry about your birds. I don't have any advice as I have not heard of this before.

Do you have any pictures of their feet and legs? Are their toes swollen and lumpy? Are they limping? Gout can be related to what they were fed, but there can be a variety of causes. If the ankles and hock joints are swollen, but not the toes, you might be dealing with MS. Here is some reading about gout:
