Chicken ate my earrings. Need advice.

I just went to check on her and bring her outside with the other girls and found her dead. She got her head stuck in her enclosure. I don't even care about my stupid earrings this never would have happened if I had kept her with the othrs. I'm sorry.
I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Penelope. :hugs

I agree with sbhkma...this is definitely not the result we were hoping for.
There was no way you could have known this was going to happen.
You intentions were good. There is no fault in that. :hugs

So sorry. Have been lurking to see what happened, my precious little frizzled serama Sugar tries to get the diamond out of my wedding ring, thought it was cute until I saw your post. Can't imagine going thru all this with her, her head is barely bigger than the stone!

Chickens eat grit, the earrings probably won't hurt them at all. After all, they will come out later. Roosters are great to have around-for protection of the flock (I'd be missing quite a few without my rooster) and if you feel like expanding the flock, baby chicks. Make sure you consider these things before your husband (if he does) kills him because you never know what a beautiful protector he might turn out to be.

Are you sure he ate it, and it's not lying in the chicken pen right now?

Have you read the earlier posts? She just lost her dear pet.
Is this really appropriate right now?
Please consider how you would feel.
