My daughter was holding one of our younger hens and suddenly she began to drool which I just happened to get a pic of and then she dropped a shelless egg..
My daughter felt it hit her on the way to the ground an she said it was really hot..
I think the liquid that came out with the egg is what was hot.
Anyway, can anyone tell me if this might be egg drop syndrome?
We give our chickens oyster shell for calcium, they have plenty of water and feed and we don't give them too many treats so they still eat their feed.
She is picked on a little by one of our older hens but not too bad.
She doesn't seem stressed or sick.
As soon as she dropped that egg she went on scratching like nothing happened.
She doesn't seem sick and everything is going fine in the coop for her so I'm a little lost..
