Here is the easiest of the two hen w/ chick blocks I am doing. This is w/ the invisible thread and the lined and turned pieces. I will need to stitch the eye on the hen. I am so tickled to find a method I can do and am relatively happy with, and LOVE the tweety on the block!

That is so cute Kassaundra! Well done!

I tried the interfacing and turning my applique pieces and sewing them onto the back ground fabric by machine. Well, for whatever reason, it turned out less than desirable. So the next one I did with regular needle turn and I like it a lot better so I'll be doing them the hard way. I'll be removing that one from the back ground and reusing it for a hand sewn one instead... don't have enough back ground fabric to toss that piece.

I have a question... if we make 12 blocks apiece and we have 15 quilters, how does it work that everyone gets a block from everyone else?

Each quilter would get 12 different blocks from 12 other quilters, but not each quilter in the swap.
