Chicken comb infected??

I had my first chicken die this morning, looked like her bottom was infected and I feel terrible I didn't notice. I checked my other 4 chicken's bottoms and they look fine but I noticed that my Easter Egger's comb looks like it might be infected. I tried giving them some scrambled egg with pumpkin seeds, garlic, tumeric and cinnamon as I heard those were good dewormers. I think my EE ate a bit but not very enthusiastically as the others. Also tried giving them some water with a drop of oil of oregano. None were very interested even though it's hot but maybe the oil of oregano oil deterred them. Any ideas what this is and how to treat it? She's about 1.5 years old. Thanks for any advice!!

We're in Charlotte, NC and it has been hot this week. We always have water available from a waterer with nipples, but it comes from a water barrel. Maybe I need to switch to a bucket so I can clean more regularly?

I normally feed them a mix of black oil sunflower seed, meal worms, safflower seeds, white millet, milo, wheat, cracked corn, and oyster shell.

I think I do have the Electrolyte/vitamin mix, I'll mix it into some fresh water. Thanks for the help!

They need fresh, plain water for heat like that, definitely, I'm not sure what the white stuff is, does it come off?
You need to feed them actual chicken feed, not just seeds and grains. That diet is fat and carb heavy, (like if you ate nothing but macaronni and cheese) but lacks vitamins, minerals, protein and other essential nutrients.
Stop giving them any oils or spices, it won't do anything. (plus garlic is toxic to chickens)
You can fill a pan/kiddie pool for them to dip their tootsies in, that helps beat the heat.

Chickens need a balanced chicken feed, either an all flock/flock raiser feed, or a layer feed, although layers may eat all flock feed if they have crushed oyster shell available. Mixed grains and meal worms is not a complete feed, and chicken feed may even cost less. Miconazole or clotrimazole can treat favus fungus on comb.
