Chicken Coop Camera System

Well, yes, it is completely honest. Because I've been using the cameras for 3 years and I don't have a subscription.
And I have the run cam set up to record on motion between specific hours of the night. I have lots and lots of videos that I've watched and I have downloaded from the Wyze app directly to YouTube or my phone. I've never removed an SD card from my camera.
Granted it only records in 12 seconds intervals but that's more than enough for me to see what was going on.
Yeah I don't consider 12 SECONDS at a time a good, not at all a good, amount of time for getting any quality or quantity of video. Not even for non subscribed usage. Not worth the effort downloading 12 seconds of video at a time. Might as well just take the card out put in another and take the card that was in it. Seems faster.

They give you 12 seconds just so you can see bits and want to make it easier by getting the paid subscription.

Either way I'm not gonna bother. I have IP cams all over. Plus the cell cams I use with ewelink.

Although I did want to try the SONOFF version.

This is all very much a matter of your opinion.
I don't see why 12 seconds isn't enough to see what's going on! It's more than adequate for most people's needs in a chicken coop. It has more than adequately served my needs all these years. Without another nickel out of my pocket. They've been very useful tools for me over the years
I'm interested in watching chicken behaviors without a person right there watching them.

Ok. Now that we can move on (yeah!), about the blink cameras. I bought a special a set of 5 close to a year now,lol mainly for the fact of being wireless. Is it a good idea? Seen a post of a blink picture and was not that bad. I now have ducks but have not even entertained the idea of an extension that far (110ft +/-). Anyone can share some more information?

I have a Wyze Outdoor Cam. Its not perfect but I like it. There is a speaker so I can talk into it. However, sometimes I sound like a human doing so and other times a horrible, screeching dying monster.
Another issue is that it too often will make me "force stop" the app or totally delete it and redo it. It's very annoying. Very. For some reason, my other Wyze camera (it's just a regular indoor pet Cam) does not have that issue.
What I like...video quality is good, especially for the price. I keep it plugged in all the time. I love checking on my girls. I like that I can also still see them at night even though my coop is very dark. The camera adjusts itself enough that I can check on the girls and make sure I shut the coop door.
If the darn app would just work correctly it would be a really great camera.

I did not know Wyze had a pet cam. When I initialized mine, I did pit it was for pet monitoring. I wonder if that changes anything.

Voices, made me chuckled. My roo goes in front of the camera and I just have to talk to him. Wonder what it does sounds like, lol I do like to play tricks on them at times

I have a naked-neck that I believe she is bipolar, alzheimic, add, and add. She has only laid 2 ehhs this year but she is my hub favorite. I tell her though the camera," Sophia you still give me no eggs and your neck smells like soup" she just looks towards the camera so attentively, I have to laugh.

@DobieLover I was checking on that netgear 41 and what I do not know is how I can either add it to the internet one or how would I switch it. Not tech savvy, sorry!
I just replaced my former router with the Netgear 41. Once you replace it, go into your internet connections settings and connect to the new router by entering the password on the router.

Jeepers! That sounds easy, lol. I only have but a few months with them anyways. Signed up for optic fiber internet. Hughes is not reliable and they have a data cap. Maybe I can add those blinks also and see everything around. Here are pictures of my run, coop, and back door cameras. I really do not use the ring that much since the babies.
