Chicken Coop Maintenance

Many people use a poop board a bit under the roost. There are many ways to install one. It is easiest if what you make is removable and of a material that allows for easily scraping it off.

Or scoopable.
At my max of 27 LF chickens, it took less than 10 minutes a day to clean the boards.
The biggest time saver is that I only clean my coop bedding out once a year.

I have shallow trays lined with linoleum and filled with sand and now coffee grounds. Every morning I scoop the nights deposits right after I let the girls out of the run into their yard.
