chicken coop question

For standard breeds the recommendation is to have 4 square feet floor space per chicken inside the coop and 10 in the run. So with your coop max is 6 standard. More space is always better, especially if you live in a very cold climate where the chickens may spend a lot more time in the coop. I think the roost space is ???10 or 12 inches per standard chicken but I don't remember exactly......I have several roosts and they have about 1.5 feet per chicken on two of them but of course they only use half of one roost. They are all snuggled up side by side, I have 5 big girls right now, #6 will be added in a few weeks
