So today was the last day I was going to wait for it to hatch and my mom told me to throw it away but she ended up opening it up for and this is what was inside it sucks but I’ll definitely get some chicks soon

Oh well. Good luck with your chicks! There's lots of breeds to choose from depending on whether you want egg/meat production, dual purpose or ornamental. You may also want to check out this article, which should help you start out raising baby chicks. I think you will find it a very rewarding experience!

Hi there, on March first I was given a chicken egg. I didn’t have an incubator so after many YouTube videos I decided to try to hatch it with a lamp... After many days I’m worried it’s not going to hatch. I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s still alive so I did the float test. I did it a day ago and then I did it again and today something is showing up in the air cell but it was still moving in the water. Somebody PLEASE tell me if I should give up or if it’s okay

The egg looks pretty blank to me. What worries me with the lamp is that you wouldn't have enough humidity. How many days have you been incubating it? Anyway, best of luck!

Don't give up it took my chick's 34 days to hatch wait that long. I got these from the supermarket so don't give up

Chicken eggs (not ducks or turkeys or anything like that?). OP already opened the egg, it never began developing to begin with. If they were chicken eggs, that's a pretty long time! Would like to know what your temp was at...

I don't know it was under a broody chicken 24 7 except for when we had to force feed here food and water she nearly killed herself on the nest! Yes it was a chicken egg. If you want to see my homemade incubator that also hatched chick's let me know and I can tell you how to make it.

Hmm, that's a pretty long time! Sure, but probably shouldn't share in this thread. Maybe message me? I'm actually going to make my own homemade incubator too, so I appreciate ideas.
