Chicken feed for mixed flock

I’m in B.C. in the Southern Gulf Islands... Saturna. The feed store we go through supplies from Otter Co-Op. the feed Mills around here won’t do small orders except for bagged feed. We’re not set up for bulk feed and the minimum on that is 2 tones in mini totes, or 28 in a truck, which would be difficult for us to manage/use. Shipping it is a pain as well!

We usually pick up mixed pallets of 1 ton bagged for the sheep/cattle ourselves... over length trucks are expensive on the ferries so we just use our flat deck pickup. If the broiler is ok for everyone ie: not too much protein and fat for my layers, I will just pick up one ton when I get the broilers in spring!

Personally I would go the Broiler pellet sure alittle more fat but they won't be confined so the extra movement outside should help offset the higher fat content. Just my 2¢ and that's about all it's worth.

By the way I have never been there but from the photos I have seen I think BC is the stop just before heaven.
