Chicken Flock RP (I have no idea if this will catch on)

Juli followed the angry young pullet. (Juli gets along with everyone.) “Are you okay, Hyga? I know it’s tough when everyone seems to be against you.”

"I'm fine, Juli," Hyla snapped, and then softened. "You're lucky you're used to this life. Once you live outside, captivity is never the same, no matter how big your coop or how much food you get."

 

[Three Little Bunnies]

“Oh, I know. I used to be wild, you know. I lived in the forest for several months with Romeo and... some other chickens until we were captured. I know what it feels like to be free. I struggle every day, wondering what it would be like to be free again. I miss it. I would probably escape if not for my chicks.”Juli said. “I know it’s tough, but try to stick it out. It’s safer in the daytime.” She chuckled. “Are you sleeping out here?”

"Maybe, the coyotes never come to close to the coop."

“Okay. I’m going in to put my chicks to bed. Do you want me to stay with you tonight?” Juli asked.

"It's fine, the chicks need you more," Hyla said, flying up to the coop roof

The next day, Hyla came inside and went to the nesting box. She felt an odd sensation, so she sat down. Something popped out of her. It was an egg! Hyla strutted around the coop proudly

“Nice job, Hyla,” Janie congratulated. “Your first egg! What color is it?”

(im a few months old) "Dark brown!" Hyla said gleefully. (shes a cuckoo maran)
