chicken hatchery recomendation

Are you actually looking for purebred Ameracaunas? If so, I recommend finding a breeder - they'll have the best quality birds. Otherwise, Meyer Hatchery is the only hatchery I know of that sells purebred Ameracaunas. Even Mcmurray is just selling mixes, 'easter eggers' - they're just calling them Ameracaunas/Aracaunas (which are two different breeds). In fact, one of my friends got their birds, and one of them doesn't even lay blue/green eggs - she just lays brown.

Anyways, I've ordered from Meyer before and they're really good. If you're looking to just get some pretty blue eggs, order easter eggers from them. If you really want Ameracaunas, they're gonna charge you $20 a chick. Good luck :)

Then definitely Meyer, lol. Or Ideal; I've ordered from both of them and they seem to be good. Watch out with Ideal though; you have to ask for insurance on the chicks or they'll send them with 'males for warmth.' Or heck, even MyPetChicken. They drop ship from Meyer so it's the same stock. They charge a little more, though, so that they're making money in the deal. But they can sex bantams for you, which is something I've seen nowhere else.
