The pictures the OP used in that thread were not their own. The posts clearly go on to read that they only have one of the breed.When the picture was first posted all the details were there. Who used the picture in the featured thread with no credit or details? Very inconsiderate.
While I have been raising poultry for over 40 years I am new to the Shamo and certainly don't have all the answers. I will say that to me, it is one of the coolest chickens I have every raised......and I have raised over 50 breeds/varieties. They are very noble birds......also somewhat primitive in my opinion.
Here is a pic of a Shamo hen and that is not a mouse. That is a rat she has in her beak. The hen is much larger than she looks here. Who needs a cat when you have Shamo's.
