Chicken laying down, not moving wings but moving head and legs

This isn't helpful, but I had a chicken like that back in February. I first noticed her kind of stumbling around and then she got to where she couldn't walk at all like that but could move her legs. If she tried to stand up, she just flopped over. Everyone kept telling me Marek's but she didn't have the other symptoms, and she was vaxed, plus all my other chickens were and are fine. What I personally think happened is that my two rowdy roosters got too rowdy and either knocked into her during a fight or got too rough with her while mating (they were young and still figuring it out), and it caused some sort of spinal issue or an internal issue. I tried everything to help her, but after about a week, she finally died. Good luck, and sorry you're dealing with this.

Thank you!

I'm sorry about your bird, but after 7 days like this, chances for recovery go down each day.

I agree, it does look like you may be dealing with Marek's.
Could be something else, but without testing there's no way to really know.

Consider the quality of life your bird has and how much longer you think you will be able to sustain care for her. If you lose her or decide to put her down, then consider sending the body for necropsy which will give you answers.
You can look up your state lab here https://www.metzerfarms.com/poultry-labs.html

This is heart breaking when it happens to a chicken. I've had this happen in my flock beginning with the first two adult hens I adopted when I began keeping chickens fifteen years ago. It comes on suddenly.
This is very typical of the two avian viruses that cause nerve damage and tumors, Marek's and lymphoid leucosis. I have the latter in my flock, probably imported with those first two chickens.
But, it can be from other things that might respond to treatment. First try giving her a cup of water with one teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt and baking soda mixed in. If that doesn't produce improvement in one or two days, then try giving vitamin E and a B-complex tablet every day for about a month. If she improves and can stand and walk again, then it may not be an avian virus.

I do think she has Mareks.
I thank you all for giving me advice and tips.

Today I discovered that she had a little maggot infection under her wing. I pulled out every single maggot and the bathed her in water. But the whole morning her eyes were closed, and when I was caring for her this morning, suddenly she turned her neck and opened her eyes. Then she passed away. I greatly, greatly appreciate your advice, and this morning I was going to make a chicken sling like you said Tookie. It is very sad, but I am glad she doesn’t have to be in pain anymore.

😥😭😭
