Keep in mind that the coop, nests and roosts need to be treated as well, with repeat treatment in 10 days. I recommend sevin dust for lice/mites. I prefer to use valbazen for worming...it kills all worms that chickens can get.

Ivermectin didn't work for feather lice in my birds.Quick question. If there are a lot of feathers under the roost I cleaned under only yesterday would that mean its more likely the feather type?
Already treated with ivermectin per vet instructions but after seeing the feathers wondering if I've treated the wrong sort of lice.
Treated Friday, saw lice today 4 days later.
Also dealing with respitory problem so don't want to agravate that by dusting if I don't have to.
