chicken little went to town today

Chicken Little looks like he had a fine time out and about town. I love the big chickens. We had some cows like that around Houston a few years back. A couple of them were stolen, but it's kind of hard to hide a big painted cow.

Thank -you for sharing your pics.

I'm looking for a childrens book to send my grandaughter (she is 5) about hatching chicks so she can be ready and excited when she comes to visit us in March, and I have (hopefully) some hatching chics for her to experience.

Again what a wonderful day you and Chicken Little had thanks for sharing.

"we used to take our weiner dog to the hot dog stand for her birthday. " funny post pickles!! I have a weenie dog too, never thought about taking her to a hot dog stand though!!

Yes, chicken little should be a childrens book, they would love it! bet your local newspaper would take all that you have alrady posted, pics and all and spread it out in a human interest story ...take all your info and go by there...he will be more famous then!

A beautiful pictorial, I love chicken little"s colouring, I have a young roo exactly the same, Perhaps they can be pen pals!
Lovely pics, thanks for sharing, the book sounds great, good luck!!

I'm offended by all the Yankee references. Next time I'm in Georgia
I'm gonna come steal that Chicken Little dude. I'll be wearing blue.

Thank you for sharing your pictures with us. My day has started off great now, because I've learned there is a Poultry Capital of the World!! How cool is that?! And your chicken is really cute, too.

how long have the giant chicken been there? It may be a promotional thing, our town had local artist decorate ELKs, which stayed up all summer then were auctioned off at end of the season. I know Chicago did this with cows and CT did it this Summer with Whales. Maybe you can have a giant chicken in your yard. I know the Elks here went for a ridiculous price, most were bought by businesses and put in front of thier stores/banks.

scrambled egg,
i have been free lance writing for the local paper for almost a decade. i have a 5 part series about ready to submit to the editor of the weekly local interest section.

purple chicken,
offended??? well if the shoe fits, then put it on. ;-) some of the nicest people i know are in the maine, new hampshire, vermont, michigan region. of course the ones i like are just plain yankees instead of darn yankees or carpet baggers. you just bring your bad self down here and take your chances swiping chicken little. his pen is inside a locked building that is covered by one of the best monitored alarm systems money can buy. also his owner is heavily armed and ugly. you would hate to be the instigator of the next american war between the states. and another ;-) just to remind all that i am joking....

mdbucks,
the big statue has been here for a little over 20 years. i used to live within site of it and threatened to borrow the rooster off the top more than once. i was never quite brave or stupid enough to follow through though. the fiberglass ones have been here a couple of years or so. maybe with a little exposure we can get the missing ones replaced.

folks,
i lived about five miles from this thing as a child.

when we have a nice day and some spare time, chicken little and i are going to visit the big chicken in marietta.

I lived in Georgia for a few years and have a lot of friends down there. The people
I don't like are the many shallow northerners and midwesterners who moved down
and now think they own they state. If there ever was a war I'd probably be wearing
gray. I'm not a darn Yankee... I didn't stay....
