Welcome! I'm just now starting, at 50, in I wish I could move into the country, but it's not likely to happen. I've been on here a year learning, and we were supposed to get our chicks today, but no, tomorrow.

I am a little more than a decade older than you are and last Fall we bought a small 14 acre farm. You never know what might happen in your life!

Hello and welcome. I was only supposed to get 4 chicks. Then it turned into 5 chicks, then hubby son wanted a couple breeds so now I have 8. Going probably this weekend to get 2 more!!! On the down side I have 1-3 possible roosters in the first 5 batch. Good luck with your little farm, I would do it if hubby would let me!

I totally understand you!! I can't let myself go into the co-op, because the little Americauna's with their fuzzy cheeks won't let me leave! Thankfully I have enough little pooping machines in the brooder so I can't responsibly bring any more home, but there's always next year! We live in the country on multiple acres, so I don't have to do chicken math (which is good)...your chickens sound like a fun little flock. I loved living in Missouri, that state is lovely (almost as nice as MN!) Hope you enjoy OK and one day get all those chickens of your dreams!
