Ideal, do you ever have rumpless Easter Eggers hatch (bantam or LF), or do they just have Ameraucana parentage?

I have a rumpless EE roo I got from Atwoods, and they get their chicks from Ideal. He does have a few tailfeathers.

Did everyone else get their confirmation of shipped chicks? What am I going to do with so many chicks?

from what I know, the broiler chicks you get are a hybrid of 2 different lines, kind of like a red or black sexlink. The broilers would get to heavy to breed naturally, if you kept some to breed, would either have to learn how to collect roosters and AI hens, or have a rooster of another breed and keep some broiler hens.

I'm not sure this is true of the red and black broilers, since they are slower growing than a Cornish X, but I've had no experience with them.

We just have Ameraucana but sometime we have Atwood's chickens shipped from other hatcheries and they could have Araucanas.

Will you be running the bantam wyandotte special anytime soon? I really want to change the date if possible. It's suppose to be really cold this week but nice next week.

It looks like we will still have the bantams on special next week.

I know this may be a silly question, but are the red broilers in the red broiler special any good as dual purpose? That is, would it be worthwhile to keep the hens as layers and use just the roos as meat birds?

I would not recommend that. They are going to break you in the amount of feed they will consume.

I ordered mine to ship this week to get the bantam cochin special, but when I got the email after payment, it said they will ship next week on the 30th. I dont mind theyre shipping next week, as long as I get the special price.

Finally getting some bantam Easter Eggers too! Tried buying eggs, but the first batch where all Roos, and the second didnt hatch

Maybe they didnt have enough chicks and will send yours next week?

I also ordered the cochin bantam special, except I received an email that said they would be shipped the 23rd. I had planned to drive directly to the sorting facility tomorrow to pick them up so that they would arrive in one day, but I haven't received any tracking information to do so. I even talked to them yesterday because I added grogel to the order and they said the chicks would be shipped tomorrow. I don't know what's going on, but if they did get shipped, then I need the tracking information tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get it figured out. Thanks for the information!
