If you really can't do the processing yourself (like me ... can't do it!) the trick is to get a bunch - and by "a bunch," I mean "too many to name" - that all look exactly alike and send them all off to be processed at the same time. That way, you have the benefit of home-grown chicken, but never have to worry about whether you're eating Fluffy's drumstick or Spot's!My chicken raising has only gotten me to gullible straight run buys, rare feed store buys, and recently mail order buy. I don't have an incubator, but it's in my mind. Raising meat birds, mmmm probably couldn't bring myself to that. I definitely respect people who can.
Have you seen the calico projects some people are working on? I WANT one!Ohh I forgot the blue ones!![]()
That might work, except the 5 year old that would probably try to name them (or at least think it's that one or this one) lolIf you really can't do the processing yourself (like me ... can't do it!) the trick is to get a bunch - and by "a bunch," I mean "too many to name" - that all look exactly alike and send them all off to be processed at the same time. No, I'm assuming it's a new color.Have you seen the calico projects some people are working on? I WANT one!
Actually , it's an old one. There's a picture floating around the internet of an absolutely gorgeous calico silkie, but the pic is decades old and the breeder is no longer active. A few people here are attempting to recreate it, yet again ... and I sure hope they do!No, I'm assuming it's a new color.
That would be awesome. Have to keep on top of that! Thanks.Actually , it's an old one. So far so good with them together! Only 4 weeks old at the moment.Oooh; I hope you protect that little silkie from the ayam cemani. Silkies are VERY docile!
