That's a fantastic idea and you are right, they usually won't let you adopt unless you have stated you have a fence, etc.
If it's a rescue, they will be very upset about that dog only lasting a month with that guy.
Where are the Oregonians? Aren't there any members who can find out where he got that dog? And if you do...report it to them.
I think I found the rescue, but I won't post their name. It's not their fault, so I wouldn't want them bombarded with e-mails. I did send them an e-mail with a link to the article and asked them to please not let the couple take anymore dogs.
Of course it's not the rescues fault. They adopt dogs out but they don't go home with them.... Rescues work very hard to place dogs in appropriate homes etc. If they have placed a dog in a place where it's being put in a position where it is in danger they would want to know & that IMO would take priority over their reputation. REscues aren't all that concerned about their rep. they're concerned about the dogs they place period. The first dog was let to roam free with no supervicsion & for that it was killed..... The same owner plans on changing nothing in his routine with the other dog. This SHOULD be made public and along with the rescues name because 1 it's advertising for them which they always want & 2nd they might be more likely to make a example of what happens when someone breaks a contract with them.... JMO
