I personally don't find it at all offensive. I guess it could be considered so when looked at from an American perspective, but the fact remains it is commonplace in Asia to eat what we consider pets. In Mongolia, they eat all manner of hooved livestock, but consider chicken to be disgusting. How could anyone eat a bird????? It's all perspective.

A funny story . . . I had a friend who lived in Papua New Guinea and her son was invited to a friend's house for dinner. When he return his mom asked what he had eaten. He told her that they'd had dog. Trying very hard not to flip out she calmly asked her son, "So, how was it?" He replied, "Eh, it was okay, but not as good as the cat we had last time."

We keep threatening to eat DD's guinea pig. Apparently in south America they are eaten like we eat chicken. She didn't believe us til we saw Anthony Bourdain eat guinea pig on skewers on No Reservations. My DH loves those gross (IMO) food shows!

Yes time to get back to the subject on the thread. Wish we could get information, from the town, Cant believe the charges have not been drop.

Even if in the right, this is costing him money. I forone say just another dead predator. People let dogs run loose, just let their dog become predators, and if killing other animals should be a dead one!!!

I have sent a few letters, and have marked my calendar!

I hope those bogus charges get dropped. I just really wonder if there is some sort of behind the scenes 'politics' going on.
