Chicken pecked badly, need advice!

Most people use 250 mg AquaMox capsules or tablets. You can find those online. Chicken dosage is 125mg to 250mg twice a day for 7-10 days. Have you used another antibiotic already?
I gave her the amoxicillin earlier. I’ll have to remember the Aquamox capsules in the future. If I don’t have enough amoxicillin for 5 days, could I finish with Aquamox?

I read a couple of places that it’s safe to give dewormer and antibiotic at the same time, but I’m scared of overwhelming her little body. Not sure what to do. The vet for a fecal float is over an hour away and my kids all have a nasty bug so I just can’t make that work right now.

Yes, you can give Aqua Mox if you don’t have enough. They are the same. But the Aqua Mox would be easier to give, so that she doesn’t have to take all of that liquid. I don’t see anything wrong with giving a wormer at the same time. Valbazen or SafeGuard are very safe.

Is this white stuff a normal part of healing? She seems to be going downhill fast. 😩

I don’t have any experience with eye injuries. I know you’ve been given lots of advice on here too! My girl was scalped, she’s alive and doing great to this day, when we first introduced her and her siblings to our flock by one particular bully (whom we rehomed). The healing process was weird. I did experience the white stuff and like someone said I let it dry out. I used a silver cream that is commonly used on human burns all over her scalp and I felt that helped tremendously. That’s the only thing I applied and just kept her separate while she healed.

Not sure if that helps, just my contribution!

Thank you both!! I actually put a light homemade salve on it last night thinking the antibiotic ointment was just too thick and too much now. I really appreciate your feedback for the peace of mind!

Her wound looks to be healing great. I’ll take more pictures in a bit, I just fed her and am letting her rest for a while now.

Im praying this antibiotic helps her breathing, because that’s currently her biggest struggle. I can’t do the dewormer and antibiotic at the same time, it just seemed like too much for her, so I chose to go with the antibiotic and am hoping that was the right call.

Thank you for all of your help! ❤️
