Those are all some beautiful chickens. I love looking at the pics and reading the stories of others experiences. We just picked up a new batch on Saturday so I will be adding some pics of my babies as well. I did attempt to vent sex them for the very first time (interesting process) so I "THINK" I got the following 2 Heritage Rhode Isle hens, 2 hens and 1 roo of the cream legbars, a hen and a roo of the Swedish Flower Hens, and 1 bresse hen. We also rescued, a crippled, Blue Winged Teal that the chicken breeders had found and raised up for the last year but were needing to find her a home. She is so tiny, nothing like my pekin cross which is huge at only 5 wks old. This makes our grand total now 12 hens, 2 roosters, and 2 ducks! Can't wait to get a bunch of pics to show off!

OH I love new hatchlings! Those are great pictures! I know I've posted these like a million times but of all our pictures of our light sussex's babies ( stand in mom for cream leg bars ) this is my favorite.. SOOOOO so so cute!

After about 5 months of watching my sisters chickens grow, I decided to buy some! I am now the proud owner of 2 Silver Laced Orpingtons, (1m, 1f about 4 mos old) they have their own pen now, but will soon go in with hers when they are larger.

OK, I absolutely love these birds Was out cleaning their cage, and the pullet flew into my arms and snuggled for a good 15 minutes. The cockerel jumped up on my knee and let me stroke his back! That was supposed to read weeks in the original, not months. they are about 7 or 8 weeks or so now and they grow like weeds!
