Chicken poop

I compost it; if you just spread it out, you will most likely kill the grass.
Our compost system is very easy, it just all gets piled up, and each year it gets moved into a new pile.
After three years, it is compost.
Not very efficient of course, but if you don't want to bother with it too much it works very well.

I use my chickens poop in my tree and flower pots. I also spread them aka " throw them" in all my garden beds as is. Chicken poop has never burned any of the plants. But don't place them around seedlings.

I put it in the chicken runs. They spread it out, mix it w/ the natural materials in the run. It breaks down. I add more chicken poop & materials - pine straw, wheat & oat straw, hay, weeds, garden trimmings, grass from lawn mower, shredded paper (bills, newspaper, cardboard, used copy paper, magazines, catalogs), leaves, veggies, fruit, leftovers, pine cones, wood mulch/chips. From the brooders - the pine shavings, shredded paper & baby chic poops. Our "birdie work force" turn it, I add more. What's on bottom, breaks down. I gather & use some in gardens & we keep going...
