Your last death...did that bird start walking funny/have a limp too?

the last death I had she stopped eating and drinking after recently recovering from a major prolapse and then asphyxiated when i tried syringe feeding her water

Poor thing...so that is two birds with laying type issues and this one with a limp.
It is possible you have Marek's disease in your flock.

What exactly do you feed on a regular basis?
Do you feed treats often?

she is starting to look like it’s hard for her to breathe, she opens her mouth and pants, i also saw her gagging once i have water available for her (though she doesn’t seem very interested) but i’m keeping food away to try and empty her crop

I feed them Kalmbach Layer Feed from Chewy and I occasionally give them mealworms as treats

Mealworms are really high in fat so keep them to a teeny tiny amount and only once in a blue moon. Not daily for sure.

sometimes i give them the kalmbach 9 grain scratch, but that’s mainly during the winter because it contains corn

It is better to feed them a balanced diet year round...the pelleted or crumbled feed.
Scratch does not "keep them warmer" it keeps them fatter.
Fat birds suffer...and end up with laying type disorders like prolapses and infections.

I bet it's been beastly hot there, right? Salpingitis aside, the limp and lethagic behavior can be due to heat stress. The crop issue may also have slowed down due to heat stress.

If this were my hen, this is what I would do. First, mix one teaspoon sugar into one cup water. Squirt some Poultry Nutri-drench into it if you have it. Syringe it into the hen like this to avoid aspiration of the fluid.

The Esophagus is on the chicken's right side of the throat. That's where to syringe will go. Try to get a fourth of the cup into her, then syringe more in an hour, repeating that until the entire cup of fluid is in her.

What have been all of your symptoms of sour crop? Does her breathe smell sour or bad? Is her crop full and puffy even in the morning after not eating or drinking during the night? Crops can slow down from the increased pressure in the belly from reproductive infections. Azygous is good at crop problems. Hopefully her leg problem is related to her lash egg because pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause lameness. If you do lose her or decide to put her down, it can be helpful to have your state vet lab perform a necropsy on the body if it is kept cold, not frozen.
