Chicken (Poultry) Addiction Anonymous *Chat Thread*

I still have no pips... but I went to a big feed store today and they had the most ADORABLE Barred Rock pullet! 5 weeks old and she was soooo CUTE! Everybody else in her clutch was adopted, but she kept coming up to the front of her cage and peeping at me!

I begged but Mom wouldn't let me adopt her! There were little ameraucana chicks too, but the barred rock was ADORABLE! I sat next to the incubator reading for about 45 minutes and heard nothing. I think they died

it's so cute! I had to adopt mine out with my silkies so s/he would not be my only silkie. but I miss my little showgirl.

I have a few more in the 2nd bator. You say the word, you can have some!

Other than the little White Oprington.

About 5 years ago, we did a hatch for a gentleman for his guinea eggs. I stated to him that the eggs seemed a bit to clean and he said he washed them!!! and before washing had sand pappered them...Well, it was an exercise in futility......52 eggs in and no hatches! i told him I'd set one more hatch but NO sandpaper and no washes and out of those 70 % of HIS eggs hatched. Interesting experiment!

I checked my log book, and I shipped your eggs on Dec. 14, I believe that they arrived on Dec. 21 to your post office, apparently they took a long route to you as they were sent priority mail., but cannot find the pm you sent me. What day did you set them in your incubator....I'm trying to see what day you are on.

Keeping those hatching vibes going!
