I'm selling 12 of my Buff Orpington hens to a lady tomorrow morning.

I'm kind angry, not really just sort of. If you remember a few weeks ago I gave 4 lav guineas to my neighbor, along with a pair of annoying bantams. He dropped by this morning to return my dog care I let him borrow to transport the poultry to his house. Well he told me that the guinea hen I'd given him had been laying eggs like crazy!!

I'm fixing to go on a guinea-egg-hunt and see if I can't find me some guinea nests. I was talking to the lady I'm selling my hens to and I saw 4 of my guineas in the 2nd pasture along the fence line...

They are supposedly really good at stashing those eggs.

I never thought chickens could be so addicting. I'v had a few Muscovy ducks for a couple years. Just recently picked up 6 American Game hens. I'm a heath nut and I eat 4-6 eggs a day. So any way, I devided my duck pen in two so I could put chickens on one side with a lean-to and some nesting boxes. I figures why buy two 18 packs of eggs a week when I can raise chickens. Well I now have 8 hens and 1 Roo, 7 pullets 2weeks old, and some egg incubating. In the process of building a coop to house the 7 pullets. Also about to build a brooder box instead of useing cardboard. Where does it end!!!!

I hatched out 2 pure black muffed OEs from a friend, along with a buff colored chick. I think it's a BO.

Well, guess what?

Somehow a white peacock got into my neighborhood.

Don't know how, but he sometimes comes to look at my pullets. He fanned out his tail for Aspen and Quinn once. They were not impressed.

I named him Griffin. He's really skittish...
