We have a polish 2 years old lives in coop on run with rest of chickens. Just today we noticed him gurgling and checked his throat with flashlight and saw white stuff in his throat, like yeast in humans. He keep on gurgling and has bad breath like he his sick. He only started showing this today as far as I have noticed. What do I do, what do I feed him? Will he die? HELP.

I believe it is sour crop. We separated him, put him in a crate, gave him some cider vinegar and we are going to buy some plain yoghurt and we are massaging his crop. He seems to have calm down a bit since we separated him. What can cause sour crop, we give all our chickens grit and they are not on tall grass? Thank you

He is having troble breathing, his wattles and comb are turning purple. he keeps trying to get all the access spit out and keeps coughing. Please help. what do i do, i think he is going to DIE.

We did some more research and think he actually has infectious bronchitis. Should we cull him?

I would cull him immediately. Keep an eye on the rest of your flock. I am sorry, i know how difficult this is.
