Chicken Tractor Build #3

Cool chicken tractor! I really like it and my build myself one like it. One thing you may consider trying is a trick I've been using for tent stakes for years. Find yourself some 5/8" or 3/4" x 12" hex head lag bolts and a socket to fit them that fits your cordless drill. I've driven bolts like this quite easily into solid frozen ground in a few seconds, and it's even easier in the summer. When I get a new tent or screen room anymore, I throw the stakes they come with away and get lag bolts. I've even screwed them through asphalt. I bet 6 or 8 little brackets on your coup, and it would never blow off, short of a tornado. I'm from Wyoming, so the wind is a top priority to me.

Sounds like a really good idea with solid ground, but I’m in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot... especially in fall and spring when we have the worst winds. It’s pretty soggy and muddy right now. Also, I want to move them daily (or every other day) so they are on fresh grass. It’s pretty heavy with all the wood siding I used. And I didn’t have any problems til the wind hit 90km/h. Thankfully, we don’t get tornados here, just torrential rain 60% of the year! And the occasional wind storm. ;)

I like this. I’ve a Suskovich tractor for meatbirds and I love how easy it is. Can you share how many layers you put in here? Perhaps you did and I missed it.
