Chicken trees

Hi My name is Jeannie I have about 20 chickens. I am going to make my chicken yard bigger, I would like to put fake trees in it. Does anyone know if this is ok, I wanted greenery in there pens. Any suggestions would be great fun. Thank you.
I don’t know about fake trees but we only have fake grass in our postage stamp sized backyard. I let the chicks peck around in my herb and veggie gardens and as they cross the artificial turf they do tend to try to eat it so I hurry them across. I’ll be planting a 5’x10’ real sod area so they can properly scratch around soon. I would guess they would try to eat fake trees if they had access to them. They taste everything it seems.

Except carrot peels. :gig:he

Fake trees will work if they don't fall apart. You'll have to stick with ones that have very large leaves-like the fake banana plants. Just remember, though, chickens will sling mud, feces and what-not so you'll have to take the fake trees out and clean them. The fake trees made of cloth material will soon be shredded by the chickens. I've known peoplel who have put potted trees (small ones) and kept rotating them in and out of the coop.
