Chicken vs Cat...

By the time my chicks were 4 weeks old, the cats were scared witless. Somethin' just not right about an animal that can triple in size and cause a windstorm in the blink of an eye. I still have a couple of cats who lurk around and watch, but open the gate and they're off like a shot.
I can't wait to have a turkey in the yard. Very occasionally we see a wild turkey out here. I looked out the window one day and saw my biggest cat, Koji, sneaking through the long grass trying to flank a lady turkey. The turkey didn't seem to care and Koji learned a valuable lesson about size and perspective. The look on his furry face when he realized just how big that bird was...

Chickenannie, They do look ALOT alike! Sounds like yours is a little sweeter though! The next time Howard sharpens his claws on my couch I am going to show him those shaved pictures! OMG that poor thing. I bet he was MAD at you! I bet he felt better afterward though. Here is a pic of Howard "helping" with the laundry!

This one he is helping to hold down the couch with Sam and Ginger. Abby is on the floor.

Well, stray kitty DOES sharpen his claws on my couch so that is still a problem. I think we have twin cats, or at least distant cousins!

He was SSOOO glad to get shaved. He'd been futilely trying to pull the burrs out and he just couldn't do it. Once he got shaved, wa lah, grooming was simple! Plus, we all wanted to pet him more afterward.

My only question is, where do the humans sit? There's no room left on the couch!

Hmmm....that sentence could be construed so as to include the teenagers in with the animals, not the humans - so true, sometimes!!!

But your right it is true sometimes! What in the world happened to my sweet little boy?! Oh yea, pimples, ego and girls!!

If you want a Howard sweater I could send you a vacuum bag full of his hair, or I could shave him like chickenannie did!!
