Yes, that is where IM injections should be given unless instructed by a vet to do it elsewhere.

I ask because I remember seeing something similar here on BYC which turned out to be Marek's.

May I suggest that you send your most recent pictures to the head of avian pathology at your state veterinary diagnostic lab and ask them to comment?

Depending on what type of Marek's, and she has no other issues. Other than the scabs. For now i will try the injectable vitamins and see if there will be any betterment at all. If not, i will try some testing. I saw that you can now test for Marek's in live birds via toe blood testing. Not sure how this works or if it's true. I simply wanted some help on the dosing of said vitamin, as i cannot give it to her orally. I needed the dosage and how many times to give per week, maybe.

I have been talking to the state vet, and the professor of avian science here at our university. Both said it sounds like fowl pox or a type of pox virus. I am not sure how a pox virus could be determined on a live bird, They all have the most recent pictures. No one can help or seems willing to

I read that Covenia is not recommended for use in birds because of the incredibly short 1/2 life. I think this is mentioned in one of the two links I posted.

Anyway, sounds like you've tried a things. Can you try giving the rooster booster orally instead of in he water?

If your vitamin bottle is like mine, and you were to follow the max dose of 5 ml/100 pounds, you could probably give her 0.25 ml very safely. Use of this drug in poultry is not documented, so that's why I'm hesitant to say "oh, just give x". I personally have used it in a few at 0.25 ml per pound.
