Chicken with Watery white poop

:yesss:

So glad to hear that Alice is doing so well!! It made my heart swell to see her in her dust bath. It’s been quite a journey for you guys. It’s wonderful that this story had a happy ending. Thank you so much for all of your updates on her progress! 💕 Chicken prayers work! 🙏

It has been great to see the improvements! You can feel some weight and muscle to her now instead of feeling like skin and bones before the surgery. Most of her poops are still runny, but the solid ones are also an odd thing to be excited to see. I just got home to supervise her outside and she went as far as the door frame before stretching out to sunbathe. She has a lot to say about everything, and is back to begging for food whenever someone is eating. Her vet said she will miss her but is glad to see her doing so well.

Not a great picture of her, but the brown one is a Rhode island red, Margo, who helped encourage her to eat, and even held food for her during her recovery. She must also think she is doing fine now because she is back to stealing some of the treats for herself again.

Wow...Margo actually encouraged Alice to eat and saved food for her during recovery?? That’s amazing! (And incredibly ADORABLE.) That’s got to be a rare thing. My girls are all siblings yet they are RUTHLESS when it comes to food! 😂

Don't get me wrong Margo loves her food, she will sneak up on the couch behind us and try to steal a bite, and she normally has no problem stealing her favorite treats from Alice. However, when Alice was sick she would pick up food and offer it to her like a mother hen will do when teaching chicks. Food Alice wouldn't take from me she would take from Margo. It was unusual behavior, but I do give her a lot of credit for helping with the recovery.
