We were working outside today and my husband yelled "you should see the size of the worm Ethel has" - we came over to find Ethel (all of my Buff Orpingtons are named Ethel), with a snake! It was only about 6 inches long, but that good girl killed it and ate it. Those are some darn fine hens....

All your buff orps are named Ethel, that really cracks me up!! Makes me think of the Bob Newhart show with the characters Larry, and his brother Darryl and other brother Darryl.

What a great snake eater and much prettier than any mongoose. I bet they taste better when they are young and tender.
