It's time for us to play hardball with the fleas, apparently. Pests indeed.
We've been using Frontline Plus on the pooch and Revolution for the cats with great success thusfar. But it seems that this year, the fleas have adapted. I've got to call the vet for her recommendation on the newest, greatest and latest flea treatments out there for the fur covered children. And we'll be treating the yard, too.
The fleas aren't horrible, mind you. But the hubby is OCD and won't rest (or let the dog rest) if there's even one flea on her anywhere.
I'll be speaking with our feed store folks in a little while to see if they can order me some DE. They don't carry it and I haven't found any locally. I think this is supposed to help with fleas too, right?
In the meantime, I've picked up some Sevin liquid that you screw onto the end of your hose. And a cannister of 5% dust. (I was afraid that the chickens would eat the granules.)
So before I go exterminating in the yard... Are both of these products chicken-safe? And dog safe? Cat safe?
