I have a great little digital camera:) Lent it to my Daughter. She took it to London, where it now is living on her dining room table so she remembers to bring it home....a has been for the past 6 months!

My dad was the photographer in our family. He passed in 2000 and my sister got all his camera supplies. I would love a "real" camera. I've always just had the point and shoot kind with the 35mm film...

I got myself a digital camera now, a casio exilim 7.2 mega pixels. It blurs action shots and doesn't do close ups...you want a close up of a caterpillar or spider on it's web? forget it. You want to catch your children dancing and playing... forget it. That and my computer doesn't have a usb port (well, a friend gave one to me so I guess I have to figure out how to install it.).

I'm still not sure I like digital cameras. The photos my sister has given me have faded and turned yellow and I know she wouldn't really scrimp on quality paper... she's got the money and she's one for preserving memories.

I still think I like film...which I've noticed at least at my local drug store where I used to pick it up...they have decreased their stock.... has to be due to the change to digital.

I think the shots from the op are tremendous! The first ones face made me chuckle. The flying bird is amazing. And the little ducks running and flapping with their big ol feet is hilarious!

So booswalia.... what are your thoughts about digital...?
and if you were to advice on a camera for me staying within a couple of hundred dollars budget... would there be one that you could recommend?

Thank you.

And thanks all for sharing your photos.

me,
g

My thoughts on digital? Well I personally love it, but then I don't have a whole lot of experience with film.
You can have a peak at some of my bird photos here...

As for fading photos, that's the ink that fades. There have been vast improvement over the past 4 or 5 years with inks though. Real photos will yellow before digital prints will fade now.

As for a camera, you can't go wrong with buying Canon cameras. They are always highly rated.
