Every time it rains, my birds just stand outside and allow their feathers to get wet. Why do they do this?

They don't care.Every time it rains, my birds just stand outside and allow their feathers to get wet. Why do they do this?
Thanks for your detailed response! It just stopped raining a few minutes ago and the sun came out, all of them laid down in the garden. They look so relaxed!Chickens are fine in the rain primarily due to their feathers. In fact, they can actually be out in the rain for quite a while without actually getting wet! Their feathers will get wet but their skin can stay quite dry under all of those feathers. They will know when to go inside the coop when necessary. I wouldn't be worried.
Even in a storm? They are really braveI have chickens go in the coop during the day when it's raining but they sleep on the tree at night no matter if it's raining, even in a storm. They're weird but still fine.
